Twelve days of Christmas - SH:2015

We’ve had a massive year of service launches, service wins, new hires and lots of learning, improving and adapting.  This is our year in data in the style of the classic Twelve Days of Christmas carol. Hope you like it!

12 focus groups

Chris and Mollie, our SH:24 designers, have hosted plenty of focus groups to make sure we develop services our users love to use.

Ten months a-running

This December is our 10th month since our launch in March and we’ve made huge progress in that time.

Nine-ty days a-building

It took 90 days from the beginning of the service build until the day of our first live order.

Eight thousand orders

We’ll finish this year with a total of 8,000 orders in the bank.

Seven-ty two percent return rate

One of our biggest successes has been achieving a 72% return rate. This is 22% higher than what we anticipated when we first launched the service. It significantly reduces waste and maximises savings. This adds up to a total of around 5,700 processed tests.

Six new hires

This year the team has expanded to include a communications lead, a graphic designer and more recently, our SH:24 nurse who will start work with us at the beginning of January.

Five service wins

March of this year saw the launch of our service in Lambeth and Southwark. We have since won contracts in three other areas outside of London including Essex and Herefordshire.

Four national news stories

In November we were featured in the Metro, the Mail on Sunday, the Huffington Post and the Mirror.

Three hundred and eighteen order record week

Our busiest week to date saw 318 people order a test kit through our service, eighty-one of which were in a single day!

Two MVPs (that’s minimum viable product)

In November we were able to announce the launch of MVP2, contraception information pages designed to enable people to make informed choices more easily.

...And an award for creativity

We were really delighted to win BHTA British Healthcare Award for Best Creative Solution - a sweet end to an eventful year.
