We make it easier for people to manage their sexual and reproductive health. We are a not-for-profit with an appetite for social good, innovation and sustainable growth.
The content published across our social media platforms has a reputation for its liberal and engaging format, open and non-judgemental in its outlook and all aspects of sexual health and lifestyle, whilst straddling public health outreach with engaging and relatable messaging to our wide audiences and their backgrounds.
We’re looking for an individual with some knowledge, experience and confidence looking after and developing social media accounts and platforms, combined with a passion for digital, health and tech to join our small London-based team.
As our new Social Media Communications Intern, you will help us to tell our story and engage service users, partners and other stakeholders through our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our blog. We’d like you to be a creative self-starter who will help us to get the best out of our highly engaging digital/social media presence and ensure it thrives within our wider communications and marketing strategy.
A solid understanding of all things social media is a must. It’s vital that you feel comfortable taking a hands-on approach to working flexibly and proactively in a fast-paced environment and working independently as part of a wider team.
In return, we can offer the opportunity to developing your skills for future employment beyond SH:24, flexible hours and support from a small yet dedicated team of clinical and business support colleagues.
Our team will be there to support you in managing and monitoring progress for our social media channels as well as your own professional development. We’re equally keen to hear your ideas about how we could improve and develop our social media content and to help you implement them and make your mark during your time with SH:24.
This is a six-month contract (with the possibility of extension) and the hourly rate for this part-time role is £10.55 (London Living Wage) based on 22.5 hours per week.
The post will be based in SH:24's Central London offices but we are happy to support flexible, remote working to reflect the nature of the work.
