The SH24 evaluation team considers SH24 as a complex intervention that will change and develop over time. The SH24 evaluation aims to inform project development and monitor implementation as well as measuring its impacts on user experience, public health outcomes and the cost of service provision.
It takes a mixed method approach with quantitative data (randomised controlled trials and observational studies) to measure public health impacts and qualitative data to evaluate user experience. In addition to measuring the direct impact of SH24, the evaluation workstream aims to generate new thinking on the role of online services in sexual health economies.
