Our team had a fantastic evening at the DL100 awards ceremony last week, filled with champagne, comedy and delicious foods. It was made only better by the news that we’d won the award for Cross-Sector Collaboration of the Year! The winner was decided half by the judges and half by a public vote so we want to say a huge thank you to the panel and to everyone who took the time to vote for us.
We were shortlisted in recognition of the collaborative effort between SH:24, Guy's and St Thomas' Charity, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Lambeth Council, Southwark Council, Pharmadex and TDL to revolutionise sexual health in the UK.
The DL100 awards recognise people and organisations that are the forefront of digital transformation. These are organisations who demonstrate a pioneering and sustainable approach to digital transformation across the public, private and non-profit sectors, so we were chuffed to be involved. On presenting the award, category sponsor Dr Nektarios Oraiopoulos of University of Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) called SH:24 a “brilliant example of cross sector collaboration, spanning the NHS, local authorities, third-sector and private sectors”.
SH:24 was shortlisted in the Cross-Sector Collaboration category alongside some fantastic collaborative projects. These included Blue Light Digital Services, a collaboration between Sussex Police, Sussex Police, O2 and Motorola to digitise front-line police record systems. Also among the finalists is Reboot UK, a project trialling ways to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in poverty.
Friend Finder, an app that helps bring together children struggling with a long-term illness or disability and who might otherwise struggle to maintain friendships through school, stood out as a winner in its category. Other winners were
Online Fitness To Drive Service, DVLA - Digital Public Service Innovation of the Year

Robin Knowles, Digital Leaders CEO said “SH:24 is a worthy winner of the Cross–Sector Digital Collaboration of the year. This category exists to highlight the benefits for innovation of collaboration that moves across traditional siloes and SH:24 shows what is possible when a social enterprise, two NHS trusts, two London councils and a charity innovate together.
